FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION

The Financial Aid office is dedicated to help students find alternative ways to finance their education. Miami Union Scholarship

The school offers a private scholarship to students who demonstrate a financial need based on individual or household income. This scholarship will reduce the tuition cost by fifty percent (25 %). Registration Fee, books, materials, and supplies are not covered by the scholarship.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

In order to be eligible to receive Financial Aid, a student must meet the following requirements: 1-Have satisfied all admissions requirements; 2-Be enrolled in a program leading to a Diploma; 3-Demonstrate financial need; 4-Maintain satisfactory academic progress, as outlined in the Academic Information section of this catalog.

APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID

Any student wishing to apply to the Miami Union Scholarship must submit the following forms:

1-Scholarship application form with attachments;
2-Proof of Florida residency;
3-Proofofearnings, if employed; or,
4-Signed Declaration of Income, if unemployed.
The Financial Aid Office will not award Financial Aid to any student who has not formally enrolled in the school.

TERMINATION OR DENIAL OF FINANACIAL ASSISTANCE

Financial Aid will be terminated if the student ceases to fall within the requirements set forth by the school.
A student who is denied Financial Aid has the right to an explanation on the basis of denial. Appeals must be made in writing to the Board of Directors of Miami Institute of Medical  Technology.

CREDIT FOR PREVIOUS TRAINING

Credit for previous training may be given at the discretion of the school upon receipt of officia1 transcripts from a licensed or accredited institution.

If the transcripts are riot in English, they must be translated by a licensed translation agency. Transfer credits will only be accepted from courses that match the content of courses offered in the student's program description. Only courses with minimum grades of C (or 2.0 point value) will be awarded as credit. Students will receive a grade of TA (Transfer Accept for courses with transferred credit on their transcripts.
